Youngs Garage has its own fully qualified, factory trained, master technician. Our staff all attend regular industry training courses keeping them fully updated with all the latest developments within the motor industry. We have recently added service repair and maintenance capabilities of the Newer Hybrid vehicles now appearing on the roads to ensure we are fully capable of keeping you on the road without resorting to visiting the more expensive main agents.
OIL & BRAKE CHECKS
Most of the newer engines in vehicles have very specific oil requirements. Manufacturers have specified these oils to address the issues of running with Diesel particulate filters (low SAPS oils) as well as to extend service intervals and reduce oil and fuel consumption. Putting the incorrect oil in these engines can lead to higher fuel consumption reduced engine life blocked DPF's and in extreme cases engine failure. At Youngs garage every vehicle is checked against the manufacturers specification and the oil manufacturers so you can be sure you are getting the right oil for your vehicle.
Diagnostic Capabilities
Youngs Garage has invested a considerable amount in several diagnostic platforms (Bosch, Snap-on, Delphi, VagCom) including the necessary training to exploit these tools. In addition we have a Picoscope allowing advanced checks on All vehicles to be made to determine the nature of faults. This is particularly useful in resolving intermittent running issues which the ECU fails to pick up. We have several other diagnostic tools that supplement the above that all provide our technicians with the ability to diagnose and resolve your problems.
HEALTH CHECKS
Vehicles entering our workshop for service or repairs also benefit from a free vehicle health check. covering more than 40 checks to give you piece of mind for your car. Serving follows the recommended manufacturers check for your vehicle. A full service involves more than just a "look see" (Check/report") Oil filters are changed on all services and additional checks made on the status of the air, pollen and fuel filter and replaced as necessary.
TYRE CHANGE
Youngs garage is able to offer a full range of tyres based on 3 deliveries a day to ensure we supply you what you want rather than just what we have on the shelf. By ordering as required we are able to keep the tyre costs to a minimum. We are an approved black circle premier tyre fitting centre. The Hoffman lever-less tyre fitting and balancing equipment allows us to fit run flats on alloys up to 24" with confidence ensuring the new tyre and alloy are not damaged in the process. We offer 4 wheel laser alignment as well as traditional front wheel tracking and can supply tyres fitted with nitrogen helping you to extend your tyre life and reduce fuel consumption.
BATTERY CHANGE
We supply a full range of batteries including the newer AGM/EFB batteries used on vehicles equipped with STOP/ START technology. Batteries, your starting and charging system are checked as part of a health check and customers are advised as to the remaining service life in the battery.
